Do you have what it takes to be the next Zoella or PewDiePie? 

Bournemouth University, Lighthouse and Light Up Poole Festival are collaborating to produce an exciting workshop programme for up and coming vloggers.
Join us for a weekend of workshops on 27 and 28 January 2018 at Bournemouth University and learn how to tell the world about all the things you feel most passionate about. The workshop will cover a huge variety of topics and will be lead by various guest speakers.

Improve your confidence and learn how to shoot and edit professional Vlogs using regular equipment like your smart phone.

Develop sound & lighting skills to produce engaging videos to support your Vlog campaigns

Learn how to use the latest in video editing apps
Improve communication, writing and media skills whilst learning how to present your opinions in an engaging way

Workshop participants are invited to submit a new vlog by 3rd February 2018 for critiquing and assessment. Selected Vloggers will be invited to be the official Vloggers for the Light Up Poole Festival on 15, 16 & 17 February 2018 where Vloggs can be submitted to the festival website and social media platforms. This will give you exposure, raise awareness and build upon both existing and new audiences for your future campaigns.

9:30am Each student will present one recent Vlog of no more than 3-minutes in length – these will be critiqued by Libby Battaglia, Peter Truckel and Liisa Rohumaa.

10:30 – Preparation, scriptwriting and presentation Liisa Rohumaa (Senior Practice Fellow News Journalism BU)

1:00pm – Lunch
2:00pm – Basic editing techniques Vitor Vilela (Senior Editor Red Balloon Productions)

4:30pm – Finish
