The Light Express Roadshow

As part of the festival, Southampton University will be presenting The Photon Shop, a thrilling showcase of light and astronomy that will include a range of hands-on activities.
In the build up to the festival, Southampton University will also be bringing the Light Express Roadshow to Lytchett Minster and Poole High School. The Light Express Roadshow has been developed by the Physics and Astronomy departments at Southampton University, particularly for GCSE and A-Level Physics students as it links well with a number of National Curriculum topics.
Previously, the Roadshow has visited schools and colleges across the South of England, dazzling students with a spectacular laser light display created by powerful photonics equipment rarely seen outside of research labs.
